East Coast School Policies

Admission policy as appeared in our joining instruction form has to be adhered all the time; and whenever there is new policy or procedure all parents and students are informed through newsletter, meetings, phone calls and any other means possible to deliver the message. The school reserves the right to change any policy any time whenever deemed necessary to do so for the best interested of all stakeholders.

Discipline Policy

Attendance and Punctuality Policy

This policy follows guidance from the ministry of education on a number of days that a student can be absent from school and stipulates the procedures on reporting such occasions; also the school routine whereby the student has to be on a particular place at the right time.

Pass Mark Policy

Every student joining school should reach an average mark of 40%, and average mark of 50% is required for promotion to the next class, especial emphasis is on English and Mathematics subjects. However, on special case individual progress report can be considered.

Fees Policy

The school fee has to be paid in full as per payment schedule in every quarter term; students without full fees will not be accepted into school. The fees structure has been designed in a way that every parent can be able to pay in full installments.

Health Policy

The school policy requires that every student has to medically be checked thoroughly before admitted to school as per joining instructions and during school holiday so that students will not report to school ill. Students falling sick in school will be given first aid before parents pick them for further medical treatment. Any illness that requires treatment outside school will be managed by parents.

Welfare Policy

All students are required by school policy to have items and personal stuff in quality and quantity as identified in the joining instruction manual or by orders given to parents through news letters or meetings; these items include stationeries, personal items, clothing’s and pocket money. In order to enhance safety and health this policy forms integral part of the discipline policy.
